freedom and satisfaction
- God's way.
So whats next?
A - Receive.
You have heard it said "God gives seed to the sower" (2 Cor 9:10),
and you have been taught that this means - sow and you will reap.
But we are here to tell you that this is NOT the case - in this New Testament
teaching, God is actually saying He gives seed to the "receiver of
seed".
You see, to become a sower, you must FIRST have seed. And the Greek meaning
of this word indicates a person that receives seed - to sow. Tthe very
first thing you must do is set aside some of your income as "seed" (but don't give it away yet!).
You must understand that sowing (giving away) this seed does NOT bring you wealth
or meet your daily needs. God says He gives seed to the sower AND bread
for food (again 2 Cor. 9:10). God already says he does both - gives seed,
and gives bread to eat.
B - Sow.
Now by sowing we do not mean sow that your needs are met (to some ministry or televangilistl),
and money comes back to you thru some means.
Rather, we mean two things:
A. By giving away to whomever you choose SOME
of the seed, God will receive thanksgiving, and your righteousness will
increase.
B. Sow some of the seed to yourself. By this we mean plant that seed in YOUR field - expecting a great harvest! Invest, save, start that business, by marketing materials, learn a trade, go to school - the list is endless, but you gotta start doing it.
You may say - "But I don't have any seed." Our answer is - you do. God says he gives it to you, so start with what He has given you! It can be a nickle, a dollar, whatever. The amount you start with does not matter - the key is to start!
